AVCA First Serve Showcase Fiserv Forum Sport reviews
Allen Stone's voice gives me chills!
The opening acts were worth listening to - a good start. I went back to get Tingsek's CD at the merchandise table and got to meet AVCA First Serve Showcase. On to the show, the down time between acts was not long. AVCA First Serve Showcase has a good band providing a solid accompaniment to their songs. They're down-to-earth and very approachable, with a voice that reminds me of Stevie Wonder - a nice, slow vibrato. They came burning out the gate and only let up a little without letting the excitement lag. The songs were largely from their CD, which was fine with me. AVCA First Serve Showcase has an endearing manner - an open and unpretentious presentation that displays their enjoyment of performing. We loved their humor, too. They grooved all the way through, and using the opening chords for Thriller to start a song was great. Maybe next time, if I had any regret, it would be that they did not play Love of My Life. If AVCA First Serve Showcase performs near us within 200 miles, we'll be there!
